Completed Project

Gas Line Relocation

A gas line moved across a kitchen in Birmingham — completed in just over an hour with minimal disruption.

Project Overview

Our client was having a new kitchen fitted and needed the gas supply pipe relocated from one side of the room to the other. The existing pipe ran through the wall where the new kitchen units were going, so it had to be moved before the fitters could start.

Our Gas Safe registered engineer completed the entire relocation in just over an hour. The new pipe route was fitted with proper isolation valves and tested to regulation standards. The client's kitchen fitters were able to start work the same afternoon.

Fast, clean, and fully certified — exactly what was needed to keep the project on track.

What We Did

  • Gas pipe survey and route planning
  • New pipe route with isolation valves
  • Gas tightness testing
  • Building regulations notification
  • Gas Safe certificate issued

The Challenge

What the client needed

Kitchen Renovation

The gas pipe ran through the wall where new kitchen units needed to be installed — it had to move first.

Tight Deadline

The kitchen fitters were booked for the next day — the gas work had to be done quickly and correctly.

Safety Critical

Gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer — no shortcuts, no compromises on safety.

Our Solution

How we delivered the project

1

Assessment

Surveyed the kitchen layout and planned the new pipe route to avoid structural elements.

2

Isolation

Shut off the gas supply and made the existing pipe safe before starting work.

3

Relocation

Fitted the new pipe route with proper clips, isolation valves, and tightness-tested every joint.

4

Certification

Issued a Gas Safe certificate and notified Building Control — all paperwork handled the same day.
